The walnuts in the park are ready now. Fresh walnuts are always fun as not only do you crack the shell, but it is worth peeling the kernel inside.
My sense of taste still has not returned since my bout of Flu at the end of last month, so I have not worried about the bitter taste of the walnut skin.
It does stain rather though.
