We had a day out to the Il de Ré today. We wandered through the narrow streets, admiring the old fishing cottages and then stumbled across this old door at the end of a garden.
It was probably a very useful access way at one time, however I think that if it is opened again, it will be its last time open and some serious repair work would be required.
