Fiery Sunrise

Dawn.  Nikon D200
16th November 2015

The sunrise this morning was very spectacular.  It was almost as though there were fronds of fire across the sky.

Hopefully we will have a nice day today.

Down a the bottom of the garden, it is a tad neglected.

My excuse is that it is a "nature corner" :)

Proper Punk: Slaves in Bristol

14th November 2015

This evening we drove down to Bristol to see Slaves.   It was very nice to see a proper Punk band again.   As the first night of their UK tour, the atmosphere was awesome.

We were right down the front and it was rough; but it was just as bouncy at the back of the hall.

A good shower and a wash of all our clothes is in order now; it got rather hot and sweaty in there!

Oh, the music was fab too :)

After Note:  A few performances later, Isaac dislocated his shoulder crowd surfing!  We were lucky to see them after all as the rest of their tour had to be cancelled :(

Holly

13th November 2015

As we are getting closer to Christmas, the Holly in the garden is looking very verdant (although does not have any berries on it).

This particular variety is super spiky, so I may not bring any into the house next month.

Doggy Shower

Muppet in the dew.  Canon S120
12th November 2015

The grass was hanging in dew this morning.  Muppet did his best to run around the field to absorb it all; he did quite well and was absolutely soaked, even before he got down to the stream!

Fallen

There are lots of fallen leaves around at the moment.

I liked the pattern of colours of this leaf, but then noticed how it balanced on its tip when I put it on the table.

Abstract: Dots and Stripes

Dots and Stripes.  Nikon D200
10th November 2015

All around us printing is not made up of continuous tone, it is all a combination of tiny dots and stripes.

I broke out the macro kit today and found some interesting patterns that have emerged from the laser printer.
