Purple bloom

The slows are really quite large this year and are about ripe.

Although the skins are very dark and really a good approximation of black, they have a feint white bloom on the surface which makes them look much more like a pale purple.

It is tempting to lick off the bloom to reveal the shiny black fruit underneath, but although they are ripe, they are still super sharp!
