There is a recursive element to 3D printing; the printer can be improved by printing its own new parts.
This addition is a fan bracket to blow air over the printing nozzle to try to cool the freshly laid filament as fast as possible.
The blast of air also keeps the plastic bracket cool of course which would be inclined to soften and warp during the print too!
