The hazel tree is really quite loaded with nuts; it looks like it may be a "cracking" year.
I have not seen any squirrels for a while, so fingers crossed...
A few of the nuts have fallen; I cracked one today and here was the beginnings of a kernel inside; just another month or so and they will swell nicely :)
