I remembered that there were at least two baby Blackbirds in the nest we had in the Jostaberry, but until today, I had only ever seen the one.
I wondered if the second chick had met a sticky end just after fledging.
By the look of the 'affection' between them today, it appears each wishes the other had met a sticky end after all!
It is nice to see the Blackbird population has increased a little this year.
